Every move starts with a chat about what you are moving, where from and where to, and when you need to be there. For larger homes, we may carry out a survey, in person or by video, so we know how much space your things will need. We then send you a clear quote and explain the choice between a dedicated vehicle and a shared part load.
On collection day, our team packs if you have booked our packing service, then wraps furniture, loads the vehicle and checks the inventory with you. Your things then travel by road and ferry or tunnel across to Europe and on to Luxembourg.
At your new home, our crew unloads, places furniture in the right rooms and rebuilds anything we took apart. We take away the packing waste if you ask, so you can start settling in straight away.
Start your paperwork early. If you are moving to live in Luxembourg, you will need to register with the local commune after you arrive. Check what your employer, landlord and the local office need from you. Keep copies of your passport, rental contract and work contract to hand, as customs may ask for them too.
Sort your things before we pack. Moving abroad is a good chance to sell or give away items you no longer need. A smaller load can mean a smaller vehicle, or a part load in place of a dedicated one, which can lower the cost.
Think about electrical goods. Luxembourg uses a different plug type to the UK. Most items will work with an adaptor, but large items may need a new plug fitted by an electrician once you arrive.
Dates for a move abroad do not always line up. Your UK home may sell before your new place in Luxembourg is ready, or a start date at work may change. We can collect your things and keep them in our secure storage until you have your keys.
When you are ready, we plan the delivery and bring everything to your new home. This gives you time to find the right flat or house without rushing. It also means you do not have to move twice. To talk through your move, call us on 07428474474 or 02080444474, or send your details through our contact page.
Once you have arrived, you may find you need a second, shorter move. Perhaps you start in a short-term flat and then find a long-term home. Our team also handles local moves within Luxembourg, so the same people who brought your things from the UK can help you move again.
Parking can be tight in town centres and older streets. Ask your landlord or building manager whether you need to reserve space for a removal vehicle, and how to do it. Give yourself plenty of time to arrange this before moving day.
In your first weeks, unpack the essentials first: beds, kitchen items and work clothes. Label boxes by room before we pack them in the UK, and our team will put each one in the right place. This makes the first few days in your new home far calmer.
Yes. Since Brexit, household goods going from the UK into Luxembourg need customs forms. You will usually need a list of your items, your passport and proof of your new address. Many people can bring used goods in without duty, but the rules change, so please check the current rules. We help you get the forms right.
A dedicated vehicle carries only your things and goes straight to Luxembourg on the dates you pick. It suits full house moves and tight dates. A part load shares space with other customers, so it often costs less. It suits smaller moves, such as a flat or a few pieces of furniture, if your dates are flexible.
Yes. Many flats in Luxembourg City are in blocks with lifts, but some older buildings have narrow stairs and tight streets. Tell us about floors, lifts and parking at your new address. We plan the right vehicle and team, and we can bring items in by hand when a large van cannot get close.
Yes. We move office furniture, files and IT kit to Luxembourg as well as homes. We plan the move around your working hours, label everything by desk or room, and can set up furniture at the new office. This helps your team get back to work quickly with as little downtime as we can manage.
